More stars, more special guests, bigger masterclass, more after parties, Cool Japan and pop culture & film art exhibitions than ever will be highlights of this year’s Gold Coast Film Festival.
GCFF 13 is being staged at Birch Carroll & Coyle at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Broadbeach and the full program of films and events can be downloaded at gcfilmfestival.com. My theme this year will be all the zombie comedies, Turkish and Norwegian films and meeting all the special guests & you can meet them too! Don’t miss all the Free Workshops (FW) . 18 April THU 7pm (Red Carpet 6pm) Opening Night Film ‘Future Folk’ looks like a hoot with lead actor/singerJay Klaitz performing at the event and across the opening weekend. Bluegrass singing alien heroes – I’ve got to see that!
19 April FRI 1pm Micro Budget Filmmaking – Filmmakers Jason Trost and Lucas Till (All Superheroes Must Die) talk about how they make films on a $20,000 shoe string. USA FW
